Here are some books that martial artists might find interesting. Some are reference materials, some are informational, some are reflectional---but hopefully all will be ones that you will get something important from.

Of the books shown, the ones that are clickable links are available though Amazon.Com, the largest bookstore on the Internet. Occasionally I will have a listing for a book not available there---this IS a listing of books that I think are good/important, not just a set of links to Amazon. However, Amazon.Com has so many books, it's rare to run into one that they can't get.

Note: My primary interests are Hapkido, Teaching, and Self-Defense. As such, those are the categories I spent the most time on. Also, the "Older Texts" section isn't done yet--I'm still reading various books and forming opinions.

Hapkido Self-Defense Women's Martial Arts and Self-Defense
Weapons Thought-Provoking Teaching Martial Arts
Martial Arts Training

The books in the lists above are all ones that martial artists might find interesting. Now, I haven't read all of them, so think about which ones you want. The ones I have read, I'll try to comment about, and give you an idea of why I liked them. Of the books listed, some are very good, and others I think that everyone should read. So, beside some books you might see these symbols:

--means HIGHLY recommended to everyone.
----means excellent for this category.
---means it will make you think.
---is simply a marker for a book listing.

Hope you find something useful in this listing!
