General Martial Arts
This page has some stuff on it, but the primary reason for it is the various martial arts links I have here. Overall, there are a number of excellent pages out there, from people who know more about their arts than I do. So, this page has:

The Dojang-Digest
For those of you interested in Korean martial arts, you might think about
joining the mailing list The Dojang-Digest. It's an excellent
mailing list for people who practice, are interested in, or curious
about, Korean martial arts. Having members from all around the world,
it's a great place to discuss topics, and learn new things.
If you want to join the mailing list, or are already a member and want a
web page that has useful mailing list functions, try here!
For a list of books that I think most martial artists should have,
check out the NHA Martial Arts Bookstore. No, you
aren't required to buy anything. :)
Still working, but for right now, I have a list of some good books for
various
martial arts---which to me, includes unarmed and armed combat---so there
are some gun books here, too.
- Korean Hapkido by Kwang Sik Myung
- Excellent comprehensive book for those wishing a reference for Hapkido.
- The Complete Book of Taekwondo Forms by Keith Yates
- Good reference for TKD forms---chon-ji, toe-san, etc style of forms.
- Martial Arts Teachers on Teaching by Carol Wiley
- Interesting set of essays from various martial arts instructors on a
variety of subjects in teaching.
- Living the Martial Way by Forrest Morgan
- Interesting book on keeping the concept of the "way" in martial arts,
as opposed to a part-time thing, or a sport.
- Teaching Martial Arts by Tony Gummerson
- Pretty good book outlining various thoughts and methods for teaching
martial arts. (A little expensive for a small book, though.)
- Instructing the Martial Arts by Charles Heck
- Similar to above, also a little expensive, but interesting.
- The Art of War by Sun-Tzu
- Of course. The standard text----I suggest (among others) the James
Clavel text.
- On War by Carl Von Clausewitz
- Another Standard text on martial tactics----and the relation between
politics and wars.
- In the Gravest Extreme: The Role of the
Firearm... by Massad Ayoob
- A very interesting book on tactics for the firearm in self-defense,
by one of the formost gun-tactics instructors in the US. If you want to
get more information, or a list of his books, or whatever, you can
mail him here.
If you are interested, I have a page which has some of the articles that I've written over time.
